Evaluation Question Four: How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
As you can see from the prezi that I have produced above which shows all of the different media technologies which have been used in my coursework as apart of my construction, research and planning and evaluation which consists of Blogger, Photoshop, Prezi, iPhone, Adobe encoder, Sony HD camera, Scanner, Adobe premier pro, Microsoft Word/Publisher/Powerpoint, Computer, YouTube, Dafont, Slideshare and the internet. Each one of these different media technologies are important and have been used for each part of my coursework to be able to allow me to be able to product the best result possible. All of these together have been used in different stages of my coursework. For example, I have used Photoshop, the internet, Sony HD camera, blogger all for my ancillary texts as a part of construction. I have also used different tools on Photoshop such as changing the opacity of the images of my digipak, the cutting out lassos tool to cut around my image of Louise to make it look as professional as possible, adding text to my image, a generally moving around and adding images to the image to bring together my digipak.
Adobe Premier Pro has been used as a main part of my construction stage to bring together my product together. Using Adobe Premier Pro allowed me to put all of my different clips together. This also has allowed me to use this as a part of my post production which is when I have completed editing on my music video for example, I have included a black and white effect on some of my clips to portray the meaning for my narrative, as here I have used it as a flash back to reflect her past. This creativity is shown in a very effective way to show the different emotions that my main actress is feeling throughout my music video therefore I have included this in my own. I also have got this idea from looking at existing music videos which have used it for the same effect as I wished to use it for.
All of the media technologies are very important in all of the stages of my coursework and are used in all different ways. Some are used more often then others for example Adobe Premier Pro has been used a lot due to this software is where I have put my music video together and to edit on. Unlike my iPhone which has only been used to take photos of my work and progress and for my audience feedback which here it was very useful, easy and quick.
Evaluation Question Three: What have you learned from your audience feedback?
To have good audience feedback, I have asked current students (Alex and Josie) from my class to watch my music video and to look at both my ancillary texts drafts to give me feedback on all three products that I have produced to see what they think of my products. I have asked four main questions to gather feedback which are. This helped me change anything I needed to change, if something was not right.
1) How old are you?
2) Do you feel that all three products have continuity between them?
3) Would you purchase this album?
4) What you would of done differently?
Both of the students that I have got to complete my audience feedback are 18 that also currently studying media so I thought them looking at my products and giving me feedback would help a lot as they will know what they are talking about and also know what may need to be changed. Both Alex and Josie said that there was continuity between all three products from the fonts and the colour scheme which is very important which I am very happy about what they have said as this was my aim as this will make it look as realistic as possible and to stand out more. Josie said that she would purchase my album as it is very app
I made a questionnaire as another part of my audience feedback as well as completing the focus groups audience feedback as I deem to be important that I get lots of different types of feedback to help me, the questionnaire consists of six question to help me if the making of my music video further, below is an blank example of the questionnaire of the one that I have asked some students in my class to complete from looking at my music video draft to what they have to say about my draft and what I also can possible change or improve about it relating back to the feedback that they give me.

Below I have gathered all of the questionnaires from the music video feedback together, overall from my audience feedback from this questionnaire all of the people say that they like my music video and all of them also says it looks professional. On question 3, the range of people said that it looks realistic on a scale of 1-5 most say 4 however one person says 3. Some students say that there is nothing to change about my music video however two people say that I need to make sure that I change outfits during my music video so that it is not the same all the way through, after getting this feedback I have made sure that in other shots that I have filmed after gathering this audience feedback is that I have changed the outfit of my main actress which from the students that have comment have said that this is important to do so therefore I am taking their feedback and acting upon this. All of the students that have completed my audience feedback have said that the narrative matches the song well. Also they all say that they would place my music video under the pop genre which is important as this is the genre I was aiming for and as they have said that they would put this under this genre it makes me happy that they will say it comes under this genre.
I have also uses text messages as a form of audience feedback, I have asked my friends that do not study media to watch my finished music video to get a wider range of feedback as they do not study media therefore do not know conventions of what needs to be included therefore I can get general feedback from them. The way that they have given me feedback is though text messages as phones are used a lot more in this era. Text message audience feedback is very instant and easy to feedback to me as they can easily watch my music video and then text me their feedback on what they think of my music video, below are the screenshots of the text messages that they have sent me. This is a very popular way for instant audience feedback and is used a lot in today's society.
Here from getting text message audience feedback, I can clearly see as my friends have clearly stated what they liked about my music video. This also shows what audience at the age that I have aimed my music video think of my music video. Here from both Danni and Emma response they enjoyed my music video, as well which is one of the main areas I want to cover is to make sure that the intended audience understand my narrative, here they both say that they can see and understand the narrative which I have created through my mise-en-scene, cinematography, editing and lyrics to go together. Here with these audience feedback I am very pleased with the response I have been given after they have watched my music video as it is very positive. A big choice I had to make whilst creating my music video was to where to place my black and white scene, from gathering the feedback both of my friends like the black and white scene which I have incorporated into my music video for effect and emotion. Overall I am very pleased with the feedback that I have got.
Evaluation Question Two: How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Overall I feel that all three of my products have a strong line of continuity running throughout all of them, with the use of fonts and colour schemes. I feel that together my music video, magazine advertisement and digipak could be sold together successfully for an affordable price.
Evaluation Question One: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
For my coursework in A2 media, I was set a breif which consisted of creating a promotional music video, accompanied by two different ancillary texts,a 6 panel digipak, and a magazine advertisement for the artists and the song itself. All of these three products should be kept with the conventions of the form and genre. The song that I chosen was 'Broken Hearted Girl', by the successful artist, Beyonce. The genre of this specific song is 'RnB' and 'Pop' as most of Beyonce' songs are in the charts.
Evaluation Questions
After all of my planning and research and then producing my three different products for my coursework, I am going write an evaluation of all of the three products and the processes I went through to achieve them.
1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
2) How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
3) What have you learned from your audience feedback?
4) How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
I will be answering these questions using a variety of different media platforms.
